Rogozin: elimination of marriage and completion of the first stage of Vostochny will be completed in 2021

MOSCOW, August 10. / TASS /. The marriage made during the construction of the first stage of the Vostochny cosmodrome will be eliminated in 2021, at the same time the completion will be completed. This was stated by Dmitry Rogozin, General Director of Roscosmos, in Yuri Kostin's Personal Communications program, published on YouTube video hosting and on the Mir TV channel.
"In the 21st [2021] year, all the defects and unfinished projects made by the previous contractor, everything will be done," Rogozin said.
According to the head of Roscosmos, the second stage will be completed in 2022, including a launch complex for the Angara launch vehicle. In 2023, the first launch of a rocket with a manned spacecraft Orel without a crew will be performed from it.
The first stage of the cosmodrome includes a launch complex for medium rockets of the Soyuz-2 series, as well as a technical complex for carriers of this type. Five launches have already been carried out using the infrastructure built to the extent of the "start-up minimum".
Vostochny is the first Russian civilian cosmodrome. The first launch from it took place in April 2016. In June 2019, construction began on the second stage.
