Samara RCC "Progress" will show a model of a promising rocket "Soyuz-5" at the forum "Army"

Moscow. 10th of August. INTERFAX - The Progress Rocket and Space Center (RSC) will present at the Army-2020 forum in Kubinka, Moscow Region, a model of the Soyuz-5 launch vehicle being created in Samara, the company's press service reports.
"The exposition of the Samara RCC" Progress "presents models of rocket and space technology of its own design: the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle at a scale of 1:20, the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle of stage 1B at a scale of 1:20, Soyuz-5 launch vehicle at 1:20 scale, Obzor-R spacecraft at 1:10 scale, Aist-2D small spacecraft at 1: 5 scale, "RCC said on Monday.
The Army 2020 International Military-Technical Forum will be held from 23 to 29 August 2020. Starting this year, the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region will be added to its traditional sites, where it is planned to demonstrate the operation of a unique system to combat unmanned aerial vehicles. The business program will include over 170 events.
JSC "RCC" Progress "will take part in the forum as part of the joint exposition of the state corporation" Roscosmos. "Exhibition stands of the enterprises of the rocket and space industry will be located on the territory of the congress and exhibition center" Patriot "in Kubinka outside Moscow.
The Soyuz-5 medium-class launch vehicle was named Irtysh, and RSC Energia is the lead developer. Testing unmanned launches of the spacecraft are scheduled for 2022-2023.
In the future, it is planned to use it to launch the reusable Orel spacecraft, which was previously called Federation, into low-earth orbit. Its manned flight and docking with the ISS is planned for 2024, but in the future it will not be used to deliver crews to the International Space Station.
